Job Description

Monitoring Technician:
The role of the CONTRACT Condition
Monitoring Technicians are as follows and not limited to the following,
1. Schedule and execute Vibration monitoring routes using Portable Vibration Data
Collectors.
2. Validate the collected data.
3. Upload/ download data from/to portable vibration analyzers to the database.
4. Assess the health of machinery during equipment start-ups, after overhauls and
plant emergencies,
5. Perform In-situ balancing of rotating machineries as and when required.
6. Identify and report abnormal machine conditions. Generate route reports.
7. Witness Over speed trip testing of steam turbines.
8. Ensure that all tools and instruments used for collecting data are maintained,
calibrated and tested on time.
9. Maintain calibration reports.
10. Support for lube oil analysis.
11. Work with Rotating Equipment Engineers for detailed vibration analysis.
12. Respond to the call-outs during weekend and after hours.
13. Experience in monitoring Mechanical seals.
14. Shall pass Lead worker Level1 safety
training to obtain PTW within Q-Chem Complex.
