We are seeking an experienced consultant to optimize and improve our purchasing department flow. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing purchasing budgets across multiple locations and will be well-versed in industry best practices. They should be knowledgeable in open-to-buy processes and effective strategies for handling markdown products that are stale and not moving. Responsibilities: Review and analyze our current purchasing department flow. Provide recommendations for process improvements and best practices. Assist in the implementation of open-to-buy strategies. Develop and execute strategies for managing markdown products. Ensure purchasing budgets are effectively managed across all locations. Qualifications: Proven experience in managing purchasing budgets for a minimum of 20 locations. Deep understanding of purchasing department best practices. Expertise in open-to-buy processes. Experience with markdown strategies for stale products. Excellent GMROI management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
