The achievement gap for Black and Latino males continues to be largely unresponsive to many wellintended and welldesigned innovations. At Statesmen College Preparatory Academy for Boys PCS we believe that this can and must change. Statesmen is founded on the core belief that high levels of achievement for male students experiencing urban poverty is not just possible its what were here for.

The leadership of the school must maintain a laser like focus on creating and maintaining a CollegeGoing Academic School Culture of Efficacy. With high quality academic instruction and the socialemotional welfare of our adult and young scholars as the primary focus the Director of Wellness directly supports the mission of Statesmen Academy for Boys by overseeing the functions of The Well the umbrella department for all comprehensive wellbeing initiatives within the Statesmen program. The Director of Wellness will design and implement programming that supports strong relational bonds staff to staff staff to student student to student as well as school to family.

The Director of Wellness will have three primary bodies of work that are designed to support operations at the organizational level as well as at the instructional level.

The person best suited for this role is an outstanding communicator and relationship builder with an orientation to detail. This person will have exceptional influential leadership capacity. You will be an organizer and selfstarter with a heart for people and a demonstrated ability to work well on a team. The best candidates will have or be working towards an advanced degree credentialing appropriate to the role and some experience with school or community level family engagement.
