Senior Purchaser

On behalf of one of its clients in the marine industry the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Senior Purchaser

• Prepare vendor category and spend analysis reports
  
• Develop sourcing proposals
  
• Liaise with key stakeholders on modifications to sourcing proposals
  

Vendor selection and evaluation:

• Participate in strategic sourcing activities bid evaluation and vendor selection processes
  
• Review and shortlist bid submissions
  
• Prepare bid solicitations based on prequalification and assessment criteria for vendor selection
  
• Develop new vendor relationships
  
• Draft contracts for management approval
  
• Evaluate vendor performance to propose recommendations for future business dealings
  

• Clarify product specifications cost estimation and project logistics
  
• Monitor procurement budget and expenditure
  
• Manage nonconformities in delivery schedules and products
  
• Ensure procurement operations and workflows comply with regulatory safety and quality requirements
  
• Analyze data to propose changes to procurement policies and workflows
  
• Any other responsibilities as instructed by the Management
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Marine Industry for supplies and services
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  
• Knowledge of SAP B1 will be an advantage
  
• Meticulous and able to work under pressure
  
• Demonstrated integrity independent thinking and judgement
  
• Fluency in English is necessary and basic French would be a plus but is not necessary.
