We are looking for a proactive and detailoriented Junior IT Support Specialist to join our IT team. The successful candidate will provide technical support to endusers troubleshoot hardware and software issues and assist with maintaining our IT infrastructure.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide firstline support for technical issues including hardware software and network problems.
- Assist with the setup configuration and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ITrelated issues in a timely manner.
- Install and update software applications and operating systems.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
- Assist with managing user accounts permissions and passwords.
- Help with the implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Support IT projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent with a relevant qualification in IT or Computer Science (advantageous).
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware operating systems and software applications.
- Familiarity with common IT troubleshooting techniques and tools.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to nontechnical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in an IT support role is a plus but not required.
