Role: Job Title: AWS Data Engineer

Job Description:

Client is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to join our team in Richmond or McLean VA. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloudbased data engineering with mandatory expertise in AWS Glue Databricks and Apache Spark.

Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue Databricks and Apache Spark.
Collaborate with data architects and analysts to implement data solutions that meet business requirements.
Optimize and enhance data processing workflows to ensure high performance and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion transformation and processing.
Ensure data security and compliance with Capital Ones standards and industry best practices.

Mandatory Skills:
AWS Glue: Proficiency in ETL processes and data integration in a cloud environment.
Databricks: Experience with big data analytics and collaborative data engineering.
Apache Spark: Deep understanding of distributed data processing and performance optimization.

Optional Skills:
Python: Experience with scripting and automation in data engineering tasks.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Engineering or a related field.
3 years of handson experience in AWS data engineering.
Strong problemsolving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Experience:
Prior experience in the financial services industry especially with Capital One is advantageous.
