Area Operations Manager

Currently seeking area operations manager to oversee the new home residential field inspectors in the Southwest Region based out of the Phoenix office.

Qualifications:

  • Achievement of the Resnet Home Energy Rater and QAD certifications within 1 year of hiring date
  • Pursuance of ICC International Residential Code Certifications. This includes the IECC and building code certifications.
  • An understanding of the scopes of work we offer and applicable local code jurisdiction amendments.
  • Integrity and solid time management skills
  • Seasoned manager with proven track record and ability to encourage motivate and grow a high performance field team
  • Good understanding of business metrics and drivers and ability to utilize these reports to shape team performance
  • Deep understanding of the residential construction inspections process and requirements is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

The list below is an attempt to provide guidance and insight into the responsibilities of the position. The needs of the business are ever changing and the management team will need to be flexible to accommodate therefore additional responsibilities may be assigned by management team as needed.

Daily: Ensure field team is managing performing inspections per ARCXIS protocols to include:

  • Schedule management priorities/monitoring portal for inspection completions interact with inspectors/scheduling team
  • Inspectors communicating with clientscheck in/check out policy partnering for success
  • Communicating internallynotify scheduling/Ops of any deliverable concerns
  • Managing suppliesstickers equipment paint/sharpies etc.
  • Manage inspection reports submitted to manager for review prior to distribution to client
  • Manage completion rates
  • Assist scheduling dept. with finalizing inspection schedules/manage priorities
  • Manage client interactionsfield support inspector/client/vendor field trainings
  • Interact with code officials/local jurisdictions where applicable
  • Complete inspections when emergency situations arise

Weekly/Periodically:

  • Conduct weekly field staff safety/performance meetings continued training work through field inspection/reporting SOP and issues. Relay information from upper management client complaints or praise ideas for making our process more effective and efficient.
  • Meet with Quality Assurance team to review Quality Assurance reports for performance updates and corrective action requirements
  • Payroll Reviewing Employees time cards PTO requests and make any necessary corrections and provide to accounting on schedule.
  • Conduct field training on new inspector candidates new scopes additional training requirements code updates etc.
  • Employee Expense Tracking and Approval collecting and reviewing receipts for any outofpocket expenses incurred by FIs and submitting approved expense receipts and documents to accounting department during applicable pay period.
  • Attend Operational Managers Meeting Provide detailed updates to include staffing projected Inspection numbers current operational status discussion topics and review current client issues
  • Conduct performance reviews of field staff track performance provide feedback support and reward good performers and initiate progressive discipline when necessary

A completion pathway/timeline is required for RESNET rater certification RESNET QA designee and several building code certifications for candidates not already certified. Incentive pay is offered for each certification in this pathway that is completed after starting the position.

Job Type: Fulltime

Pay: $65000.00 $90000.00 per year
