Microstrategy Developer

Overview

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient Microstrategy solutions.
• Develop test and implement Microstrategy reports dashboards and scorecards.
• Optimize Microstrategy objects for maximum efficiency and usability.
• Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting Microstrategy solutions ensuring they meet the performance expectations.
• Participate in the design development and deployment of ETL processes integrating Microstrategy with various data sources.
• Design and implement complex data models and schemas for Microstrategy projects.
• Provide technical support and guidance related to Microstrategy to business users and fellow team members.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of best practices and standards for Microstrategy development.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate Microstrategy with other systems and applications.
• Stay updated with the latest Microstrategy features and functionalities and evaluate their potential impact on the organizations BI landscape.

Required qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
• Proven experience working as a Microstrategy Developer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microstrategy architecture schema objects and administrator tools.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Expertise in SQL and experience in developing complex SQL queries.
• Handson experience with ETL tools and processes.
• Ability to design and implement effective data models for BI solutions.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Microstrategy solutions.
• Knowledge of BI tools and techniques for data visualization and dashboard development.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
• Relevant Microstrategy certifications would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development practices.
• Ability to adapt to a fastpaced dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Understanding of data privacy and security concerns in BI solutions.
