Staff Revenue Accountant

Overview

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the monthend and yearend close processes including revenue recognition and reconciliations.
• Analyze and interpret financial data to ensure accurate recording of revenue transactions.
• Prepare and review revenuerelated journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant information and support revenue recognition processes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of revenue accounting policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular reviews of revenue contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Provide support for external audits and ensure all documentation and records are accurate and accessible.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis related to revenue and profitability.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the revenue accounting function.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards specifically related to revenue recognition and ensure compliance within the organization.

Required qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
• CPA certification or actively working towards it is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in revenue accounting or related financial roles.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and its application to revenue recognition.
• Experience with accounting software and proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with crossfunctional departments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and their application to revenue accounting processes.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and its implications for revenue accounting.
