Overview:
The CNC Machinist Level III plays a crucial role in our organization by setting up and operating various CNC machines to produce highquality precision parts. This role is essential in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand product specifications
- Set up adjust and operate CNC machines
- Perform quality control checks using precision measuring instruments
- Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
- Modify CNC programs to enhance efficiency and quality
- Collaborate with engineering and programming teams to optimize machining processes
- Inspect and maintain machine tools and equipment
- Troubleshoot machine and tooling problems to minimize downtime
- Document and record production data and maintenance activities
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist with expertise in setting up and operating various CNC machines
- Proficiency in CNC programming and Gcode interpretation
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools speeds and feeds
- Experience in performing precision measurements using micrometers calipers and gauges
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Adherence to safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment
