Senior Commercial Building Engineer

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and conduct preventative maintenance for building systems and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC electrical and plumbing issues
• Oversee building automation and energy management systems
• Coordinate and supervise equipment installations and renovations
• Develop and maintain project plans and budgets for building maintenance and improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and provide oncall support
• Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks
• Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and efficiency
• Manage inventory and procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment
• Train and mentor junior engineering staff
• Participate in the development of sustainability initiatives and green building practices

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Facilities Management or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial building maintenance and operations
• Proven expertise in HVAC systems controls and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of building automation systems and energy management
• Experience in project management and budgeting for building maintenance and upgrades
• Indepth knowledge of building codes safety regulations and environmental standards
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Certification in facilities management or building automation a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
• Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green certifications

• EPA Certification or CFC universal refrigerant card. Multiple Years of Leadership Experience in Commercial Building Maintenance or Commercial HVAC

• Service diagnose & repair Chillers Boilers Cooling Towers and Commercial HVAC equipment.

• MF 7am4pm or 8am5pm; Oncall rotation
