Position Summary:
The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for building deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS. This role involves working closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure the efficient operation of cloud environments leveraging the full suite of AWS services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS a deep understanding of cloud architecture and a passion for continuous improvement and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design deploy and manage scalable secure and costeffective cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Configure and maintain AWS services such as EC2 S3 RDS Lambda VPC and CloudFormation.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as AWS CloudFormation Terraform or Ansible.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance reliability and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with development operations and security teams to integrate and automate cloud services.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS tools like CodePipeline CodeBuild and CodeDeploy.
- Ensure cloud security best practices are followed including IAM policies security groups and encryption standards.
- Manage backup disaster recovery and business continuity processes within the cloud environment.
- Stay up to date with the latest AWS services features and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
- Document cloud architecture configurations and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in cloud engineering with a strong focus on AWS.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS services and architecture including EC2 S3 RDS Lambda and VPC.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Bash or PowerShell.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation Terraform or Ansible.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins AWS CodePipeline and Docker.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPN DNS and load balancing.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- AWS certifications AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are a plus.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
