Overview

Key responsibilities

• Conducting patient consultations and medical examinations to diagnose heart conditions
• Interpreting diagnostic tests such as ECGs echocardiograms and stress tests
• Developing and implementing treatment plans for patients with heart diseases
• Performing invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterization and angioplasty
• Prescribing medications and monitoring their effects on patients
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Participating in clinical research and staying updated on advancements in cardiology
• Providing medical consultations and second opinions to colleagues
• Educating patients and their families about heart disease prevention and management
• Participating in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Supervising and mentoring medical staff and trainees
• Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to decisionmaking processes
• Maintaining accurate and updated patient records and reports
• Adhering to professional standards hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Participating in professional development activities and continuing medical education

Required qualifications

• DM or DNB in Cardiology from a recognized institution
• Valid medical license to practice as a Cardiologist
• Previous experience as a Consultant Cardiologist is preferred
• Indepth knowledge of cardiovascular conditions treatments and procedures
• Excellent diagnostic and decisionmaking skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to providing highquality and compassionate patient care
