Job Description
Overview:
The Shopify Developer plays a crucial role in the organization by creating and maintaining custom solutions for client ecommerce websites using the Shopify platform. They are responsible for ensuring the performance quality and responsiveness of Shopify websites as well as collaborating with crossfunctional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize Shopify themes templates and apps to meet specific client needs
- Implement responsive design and ensure crossbrowser compatibility
- Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing and userfriendly interfaces
- Optimize website performance and troubleshoot technical issues
- Integrate thirdparty systems and services through APIs
- Stay updated on Shopify and industry best practices to propose and implement innovative solutions
- Perform quality assurance and testing to identify and resolve bugs and usability issues
- Provide technical support and training to clients as needed
- Contribute to project planning and estimation
- Work with project managers to meet project deadlines and deliverables
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer or similar role
- Proficiency in Shopify Liquid and building custom themes
- Strong understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with ecommerce platforms and best practices
- Knowledge of API integration and web services
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Understanding of responsive design principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong attention to detail and problemsolving abilities
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Portfolio of previous Shopify development projects is a plus
- Certification in Shopify development or relevant areas is a plus
