Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Accounting: Manage accounts receivable and payable perform bank postings and handle payment runs.
• MonthEnd Close: Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP including handling accruals prepaid expenses and payroll.
• Travel Expense Management: Process travel expenses using Lexware software.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate financial records and upload data to Cognos reporting software.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with German VAT regulations.
• Collaboration: Support the finance team and contribute to improving accounting processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Education: Completed training as a tax clerk or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience as an accountant with solid knowledge of German GAAP and VAT regulations.
• Skills: Proficiency in SAGE Lexware (for travel expenses) Excel and Cognos.
• Fluency in German (native level) and English (fluent) is required.
• Attributes: Team player with strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
