Job Description

Job Description:
  • Advocate on behalf of employers insurance carriers and thirdparty administrators.
  • Prepare correspondence to clients.
  • Draft pleadings.
  • Attend court appearances.
  • Manage calendar.
  • Conduct depositions and crossexaminations of doctors.
  • Negotiate settlements.
  • Proactive case management.
  • Mentor and manage legal assistant.
  • Establish relationships with clients coworkers and vendors.
  • Attend marketing events with new and existing clients.
  • Review and work on files enter time into billing software.
  • Input case information into Practice Master.
  • Meet deadlines for client correspondence.
  • Attend client meetings.
  • Conduct training seminars for clients on changing employment laws.
  • Understand and maintain current knowledge of employment law and statutes.
  • All other duties or tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Experience needed:
  • Law Degree.
  • Licensed in CA.
  • Minimum 15 years of employment law experience and some school district defense experience.
  • Needs to have school district defense experience.
