VP Legal Entity Controller

Position Overview: The VP Legal Entity Controller will lead and manage the legal entity reporting teams ensuring accurate and timely reporting to regulators and internal/external parties. This role requires strong expertise in accounting and regulatory standards and the ability to collaborate crossfunctionally to ensure proper reporting of transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee legal entity reporting teams to ensure compliance and timely reporting.
• Provide expertise on accounting and regulatory matters for business development special projects and strategic initiatives.
• Stay updated on statutory and U.S. GAAP reporting changes ensuring proper implementation in financial statements.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand legal entity goals products and accounting practices.
• Lead efforts to ensure consistent accounting and reporting practices with appropriate controls.
• Manage group capital activities and oversee internal/external audits and regulatory reviews.
• Review and explain quarterly financial results and lead budget reviews at the legal entity level.
• Participate in special projects.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• CPA certification.
• 12 years in accounting or auditing including experience with auditors.

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of insurance accounting GAAP statutory and SEC requirements.
• Strong communication analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Expertise in managing multiple projects and teams.
• Proficiency in Excel Word and SQL.
• Strong relationship and change management skills with the ability to translate business needs into solutions.
• Ability to lead strategic planning and decisionmaking.
