Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Financial Accounting Consultant to join their team.
The primary purpose of the role is to support one of the specialised financial accounting teams in either Accounting Operations Payroll Accounting or Fixed Asset Accounting. The role provides highquality and accurate processing of financial accounting transactions and enquires ensuring that issues are resolved satisfactorily and speedily and in compliance with legislation policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake the full spectrum of general leader processing tasks including preparing and processing journals reconciliations and investigations.
- Provide the timely and accurate completion of leave movements preparation and processing of payroll journals payroll reports and standard payroll related GL reconciliations.
- Provide processing support cross all aspects of the fixed asset lifecycle including acquisition maintenance depreciation and disposal of assets
Selection Criteria:
- Financial Accountant with 5 yrs. experience. Ideally CA CPA qualified.
- Experience Preparing Journals Parking and Posting Journals Balance Sheet Reconciliations Stakeholder Engagement
- Experience within NSW Government highly desirable.
- Must have a strong accounting knowledge as well as strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and to learn and implement new processes and procedures as new technology service requirements and work methods emerge
