The production planner will manage the scheduling and timeliness of the production process to ensure the company meets all deadlines in addition to other responsibilities assigned by clients Senior Director of Operations.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must possess the ability to plan short and longterm production schedule based on customer orders and desired inventory levels.
- Collaboration between manufacturing warehousing and shipping is essential to ensure production schedules meet critical deadlines.
- Review production processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Consolidate multiple reports into a by order shipment projection.
- The ability to extract and compile data from multiple systems / sources analyze data and then make recommendations for action.
- Organize and Provide Daily Production Forms and release labels.
- Other duties required to perform the job successfully.
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent higher education
- Minimum of 5 years production scheduling experience in related industry.
- Ability to multitask and provide quick responses to production problems.
- Ability to learn multiple systems quickly for compiling and extracting data (Sage PowerBI or other older databases)
- MS Excel (formulas charts VLookup etc)
- Ability to create and understand reports to make production decisions.
- A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff.
- Ability to work occasional OT.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Manufacturing / Production industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma preferred
