Job Description

• Requirements & Summary • Company Details Company : Global Projects Services TATSkills : Construction EngineerExperience : 5 + YearsEducation : Bachelors/3-5 yr DegreeLocation : Doha, QatarCompany : SaipemJob Title: Package EngineerLocation: Qatar, DohaJob Mission:• Reporting to Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, fabrication, integration, and delivery of various packages required for offshore topside structures.Job Responsibilities:Acquisition Phase:• Responsible for the preparation of the technical and commercial offer package, and for the related drafting of the TBE&CBE of the assigned SOW, in accordance with the provisions of the Project Acquisition Strategy.• Contribute with the Acquisition Project team to the evaluation of the SOW, preparation of the schedule and definition of the Bidding Strategy (e.g. definition of the Bidder List), technical selection of the vendor and definition of the price distribution / subdivision among the elements of the supply.• Contribute with the Supply Chain team to identify the main constraints and critical issues related to the post-order phase (inspections, customs rules, transport, etc.)• Contribute with the Construction Team to the implementation of the SOW, Installation and assembly of the assigned package. Execution Phase:• Responsible for the technical follow-up of the assigned SOW, from the bidding phase to delivery, ensuring compliance with and achievement of all scheduled milestones, and also ensures the follow-up of supplier documents, both for the support of internal Engineering and Construction activities.• Work in collaboration with the Project Management Team and the competent company functions, having full technical authority, to achieve the purpose assigned to it, provides also support to the PMT for the management of critical supplies.• Contribute to the implementation and/or re-evaluation of the supplier lists defined during the acquisition phase, performs the technical evaluation/selection of the supplier and supports the Supply Chain Function team in verifying the price consistency of the variants.• Contribute with the Project Team to the definition /validation of the SOW, the Executive Strategy and to the creation of the planning schedule (including the identification and definition of milestones for the suppliers).• Contribute with the Supply Chain to the implementation or re-evaluation of the list of suppliers previously drawn up during the acquisition phase and realignment of the Execution Strategy and to the identification of inspections, customs and transport requirements and the management of non-conformities and related corrective actions.• Contribute with the Construction Team to the implementation of the SOW & Installation and assembly of the assigned package.• Contribute with Project Management to the implementation and monitoring of the Change Order register, and their implementationJob Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.• Demonstrated experience as a Package Engineer role within Oil and Gas industry.• Knowledge of engineering and technological requirements for assigned project specific product lines.• Capability to handle subcontracted engineering work packages defining the scope of work, the milestones and documentation deliverables.
