Senior Data Governance and Data Quality Expert

Location: Hybrid Portugal Lisbon or Porto

Tasks

• Data Governance Implementation: Develop and implement the foundational elements of the data governance framework including policies procedures standards and roles.
• Data Quality Management: Lead initiatives to improve data quality across the organization including defining data quality metrics conducting data quality assessments and implementing remediation plans.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business units IT teams and other stakeholders to promote data governance and data quality best practices ensuring buyin and alignment with organizational goals.
• Strategic Alignment: Ensure that data governance initiatives are aligned with the organizations strategic priorities addressing key data challenges and enhancing datadriven decisionmaking.
• Change Management: Drive change management efforts to embed data governance practices into the organizations culture and operational processes.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Establish mechanisms to monitor data governance and data quality performance reporting on progress and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
• Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to educate stakeholders on data governance and data quality principles and their importance.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in data governance data quality or related data management fields.
• Proven track record of implementing data governance frameworks and data quality initiatives in large complex organizations.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles best practices and tools.
• Experience in defining and managing data quality metrics and implementing data quality improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align data governance initiatives with business priorities.
