Job Description

TPF Recruitment Kent s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency is recruiting for a payroll Manager to join a growing firm of chartered accountants in Dover Kent.


This is a hybrid position with 3 days in the office 2 form home. Our client is a growing multisited accountancy practice They have a good staff retention rate and offer a great work life balance.


This role is suited towards an experienced and technically competent Payroll Manager or an experienced Payroll Administrator or Payroll Supervisor. The successful candidate for this Payroll Manager job in Dover Kent will oversee the payroll for a diverse portfolio of around 130 clients and be a great support to the wider team and Partners. In addition to payroll there is scope to get involved in other areas such as CIS bookkeeping etc. during quieter periods subject to your experience and interests.


Our client uses BrightPay software and theyre happy for candidates to work on a hybrid or remote basis.

  • Manage multiple payrolls for a diverse client portfolio.
  • Support the team in respect of processes relevant to payroll and benefits.
  • Managing queries related to tax benefits salary allowances.
  • Managing P11D s and Annual Returns.
  • CIS Returns.
  • Processing P60s P45s start letters and induction documentation.
  • Auto enrolment processes.
  • Act as a mentor and leader to junior members of the team.
  • Knowledge of statutory pay claims and processes.
  • The ability to help grow and develop the firm s payroll offering

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience of leading Payroll for a varied client portfolio. (150 clients)
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A cando attitude to problemsolving.
  • Selfmotivated with managing your own workload.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A team player able to mentor or work with other team members.
  • Motivated with high standards.

This position will sit within a very experienced and large payroll team so you will be surrounded by fantastic support. Experience with practice/ bureau payroll software. You will be a technically proficient Payroll Administrator who has a minimum of 2 years or more experience in Payroll. You must have accountancy practice experience or payroll bureau experience.
