Job Description
A computer operators responsibilities include:
Maintaining systems: Keeping computer systems and networks running smoothly and securely. This includes monitoring and troubleshooting hardware and software issues and ensuring that the network is operational and secure.
Backing up data: Performing regular backups to reduce the risk of data loss.
Updating software: Installing software updates and managing patches to keep systems up to date.
Managing logs: Maintaining accurate logs and documentation of system operations issues and resolutions.
Maintaining equipment: Keeping computer equipment clean and in good working order.
Responding to users: Answering user requests and queries and providing technical support.
Collaborating with others: Working with programmers and systems analysts to coordinate testing environments and resolve system problems.
Ensuring compliance: Making sure that data and operations meet set standards and laws.
Computer operators should have strong technical skills as well as soft skills such as communication problemsolving attention to detail and teamwork. They may also need an associate or bachelors degree in a related field such as computer science or information technology.
Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
