Job Description

Job title: Group Financial Controller
Client: Specialist Advisory made up of three separate businesses
Location: London

DWH Recruitment is pleased to represent an exciting new risk advisory client. This opportunity will be working with all three businesses within the group. Their specialisms include; security intelligence political risk and financial risk. They are a fast paced dynamic organisation working with some exciting clients internationally.

This role presents a unique opportunity for a driven finance professional looking to take the next step in their career by joining a fastgrowing dynamic and established yet nimble group operating in a range of interesting industries. As the Group Finance Manager / Group Financial Controller you will be able to lead finance responsibilities across the business gaining exposure to all aspects of financial management from strategic
oversight to handson accounting processes.

This position offers significant career development potential allowing you to play a key role in the companys continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:

Key Reporting Requirements (Internal)
  • Weekly Topline financials and cashflow monitoring
  • Control and updates of Group and x3 subcompany financial models
  • Monthly trade data cleansing
  • Monthly division and employee key performance reports
  • Monthend executive management report updates relating to financials
  • Quarterly financial forecasting
  • Quarterly and yearend Board pack financials
Key Reporting Requirements (External)
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • EMI option scheme management and updates Vestd
  • Annual Statutory Accounts preparation (in collaboration with external Accountants)
  • Monthly FCA compliance (with support from an external advisor)
  • Adhoc Companies House compliance (supported by CEO)
Other Accounting Processes (select lineitems will be supported by the bookkeeper(s))
  • Recording supplier invoices and expense claims in Xero
  • Overseeing the management of online collection accounts Stripe and GoCardless
  • Recording credit card transactions in Xero
  • Raising sales invoices in Xero and sending them to clients
  • Recording bank transactions in Xero (bank feed already set up) and bank reconciliation
  • Processing supplier and payroll payments
  • Operating payroll in Xero
  • Credit control
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
Additional Responsibilities

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):
  • Assist evaluating potential acquisition targets and lead the financial due diligence process.
  • Lead the integrate acquired companies into the Group s financial systems and processes.
  • Lead or participate in special projects as assigned by the Group CEO/ provide financial expertise for strategic initiatives and business transformations.

Requirements:
  • Strong data manipulation and interrogation skills
  • Advanced IT skills particularly in Excel
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and processes
  • Professional finance qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) from a Top 10 accounting firm
  • Experienced working in a discreet manner with complex clients
  • Sector experience within a risk advisory business (intelligence security political risk financial risk) preferred
