Superintendent Ship Security

ORGANIZATION:

You will oversee the maritime security of vessels under the Company s management. This includes developing and implementing security protocols monitoring compliance with maritime security regulations coordinating with security providers and ensuring the safety of vessels operating in highrisk areas. Your role will involve continuous assessment of security measures responding to incidents and ensuring that all vessels adhere to the Company s security policies and industry best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ship Security Management: Ensure effective promotion of security policies monitor ship compliance in HighRisk Areas (HRA) coordinate with security providers for guards or escorts and oversee daily security arrangements for vessels in HRA.

System Management: Monitoring and testing the ship security alert system in compliance with Flag State and company policies investigating and reporting security incidents or near misses to third parties while maintaining records.

Documentation and Communication: Promoting the Company s Security and Cyber Security Policy on board ensuring ships in HighRisk Areas (HRA) comply with policies and BMP guidance. This role also involves coordinating with Private Maritime Security Companies (PMSC) for security arrangements and monitoring daily security status for vessels entering HRA.

HSEQ: Promote safety culture respond to emergencies promptly and ensure a safe working environment by following health and safety policies and addressing hazards.

Training and Documentation: Assist with revising Security Policies and QHSE manuals support the Management of Change (MOC) process and documentation and conduct shipboard and shorebased training including handling contingencies.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Navigation Marine Engineering or related field.
  
• Master or Chief Officer or Chief Engineer/Second Engineer of a vessel respectively for a minimum period of 12 months seatime in the highest rank.
  
• You have knowledge of Flag state Classifications Society procedures/regulations concerning Maritime security.
  
• Participated in Maritime security preparations on vessel as Ship Security Officer (SSO).
