We are looking for an motivated Working Student to join ExoMatters scientific delivery team for 15 h per week. In this role you will work with our Head of Delivery and scientists of our team to support the implementation testing and documentation of new funtionalities on our platform for material property computations.
The position is initially on a fixedterm contract from 1 Oct 2024 to 31 Mar 2025. Depending on your progress and the needs of the company the contract may be extended.

Tasks
- Source and evaluate data from scientific sources (repositories of firstprinciples data experimental datasets MachineLearned datasets)
- Document workflows and calculation routines in an easilyunderstandable manner both for experts and nonexperts
- Transform and ingest data
- Support in evaluating and writing scientific scripts in python
- Communicate effectively within the team and occasionally with outside collaborators and customers
Requirements
- You are currently a Masters student in (theoretical) chemistry solid state physics materials engineering or a similar subject.
- Solid background of (solid state) thermodynamics Statistical mechanics is an advantage.
- Good analytical skills are desirable. Informationbased decision making and judgement.
- Good knowledge in coding and scripting for scientific (physics chemistry materials science) applications.
- Experience with python and bash are of great advantage.
- Familiarity with electronic structure is a plus.
- Good written and oral communication in English (German is of advantage).
