Production supervisor

Overview

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the production team to ensure daily production targets are met
• Implement and monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet changing demands
• Oversee the quality control processes to ensure products meet company standards
• Train and mentor production staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all production staff
• Communicate with management to report on production status issues and improvements
• Identify and resolve production problems to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency
• Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve production processes and reduce costs
• Monitor and control expenses within the production department
• Manage inventory levels to ensure continuous production without shortages or overages
• Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new production staff
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to production team members
• Ensure compliance with all company policies procedures and regulations
• Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance and quality control to optimize production processes
• Stay informed about industry trends and implement best practices to improve production efficiency

Required qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Administration or related field
• Proven experience as a production supervisor or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a strong focus on team building and development
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to make quick and sound decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with production staff and management
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment
• Indepth knowledge of production processes standards and regulations
• Proficient in using production management software and tools
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to creating a safe work environment
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding production targets while maintaining quality standards
• Ability to analyze data and use it to improve production efficiency and costeffectiveness
• Flexibility to work shifts and weekends as necessary to oversee production schedules
• Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong decisionmaking skills and the ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines
