Shipping Supervisor

TITLE: Shipping Supervisor

LOCATION: Dallas TX

JOB TYPE: Full time (Temp Hire)

Hours: Monday through Friday 6:00am2:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Shipping background is required
• Experience in shipping of industrial products is preferred
• Must be able to develop an indepth knowledge of GlobalShop (ERP) knowledge should be extensive enough to train others help others solve problems and run reports.
• Must be able to develop a comprehensive knowledge of our products and processes to be able to communicate and problem solve with freight carriers and internal departments.
• Must be capable of meeting or exceeding individual performance measures.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and a good phone personality.

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

• Management of the entire Carrier relationship example freight quotes finding reliable carriers filing claims scheduling trucks etc.
• Must demonstrate competencies in the following areas: Leadership Communication Proficiency Problem Solving/Analysis Learning Orientation Performance Management Technical Capacity Personal Effectiveness/Credibility Diversity and Inclusion Presentation Skills.
• Shipping Lead reports to the Production Supervisor.
• Shipping Lead should be receptive to the needs of both the internal and external customers of the company.
