Job Description
Fashion designers are responsible for creating innovative and visually appealing clothing accessories and footwear. Some of their responsibilities include:
Researching trends: Fashion designers keep up with current trends in fabrics colors prints and shapes.
Conceptualizing designs: They envision styles patterns and color combinations that consider market trends and consumer preferences.
Sketching designs: They create sketches by hand or with computeraided design (CAD) software.
Selecting fabrics and trims: They choose fabrics and patterns for their designs.
Overseeing production: They collaborate with teams to ensure their designs are brought to life and align with business strategy.
Giving instructions: They provide instructions on how to make the products they design.
Fashion designers need a variety of skills including:
