ASL Interpreter Part Time School-Based Services

• Maintaining detailed records of services and progress.
  
• Advocating for the needs of deaf or hardofhearing students.
  
• Staying current on best practices in sign language interpretation.
  
• Assisting students in understanding and accessing the curriculum.
  
• Working with teachers and special education staff to support educational goals.
  
• Providing accurate sign language interpretation during classroom instruction school activities and events.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
  
• Valid certification from a recognized body (e.g. RID EIPA).
  
• Associates or Bachelors degree in ASL Interpretation or a related field.
  
• Proficiency in ASL strong communication and interpersonal skills teamwork abilities.
