Machine Operator Print production

Our client in the printing industry is seeking a Machine Operator to oversee document production and insertion processes at a multicustomer location. The role involves operating largescale insertion equipment and performing hand insertion tasks to prepare documents for mailing through Canada Post. You will work closely with a production team to ensure highquality results that meet customer requirements. This position requires attention to detail strong technical skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.

Hourly salary of $16.50.

12month contract.

Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.

Work schedule from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Onsite work in a dynamic environment.

Perform insertion services using large inserters and hand insertion methods.

Program and set up insertion equipment to meet job specifications.

Clean and maintain equipment conducting minor repairs as needed to reduce service calls and maximize uptime.

Ensure quality control throughout the production process to deliver flawless customer jobs.

Record job details maintain production forms and track inventory.

Handinsert multiple documents into various sizes of envelopes for mailing.

Ensure documents are correctly prepared for Canada Post standards.

Communicate effectively with customers and the production team to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

High school diploma.

2 years of experience in a print shop environment.

Familiarity with W&D Insertion Equipment NeoPost/Quadient Mail Machine and Pitney Bowes Mail Machine (an asset).

Ability to operate large centralized digital equipment.

Experience in finishing/binding equipment operation.

Proficiency with PC applications in a networked environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to detect production inconsistencies.

Effective communication skills both verbal and written.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
