Our client is a fintech platform that provides founderfriendly working capital and financial advisory services to climate startups and SMBs. They have financed over 30 companies to date and recently launched their new CFO service to expand their support for climate entrepreneurs further.

Job Scope:
They are seeking an Accounting Lead (Senior Accountant) to join our team. The Lead will be a key member of their CFO business and will be responsible for building key accounting processes and procedures directly serving clients and supporting team managers to ensure that work is completed to the highest standard of quality by the broader team.
We re specifically looking for a candidate based in Pakistan who will work remotely. Working hours for this role are 2PM to 11PM Pakistan time to ensure overlap with client working hours. Priority will be given to underrepresented/diverse candidates.
Job Duties:
- Complete monthly accounting requirements for complex customers including establishing and maintaining a chart of accounts completing monthly reconciliation of transactions producing management reports etc.
- Process vendor bills ensure timely payments and maintain accurate records.
- Support financial analysis and budgeting processes with our broader CFO team
- Develop and design internal processes to ensure smoother and more efficient operations
- Review accounting and reconciliation efforts of the broader team for accuracy
- Support Accounting team management with any tasks as required
- Interface with our broader analyst team and company leadership to support other efforts under CFO and the broader Enduring Planet platform.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting or related field.
Minimum of five years work experience in bookkeeping/accounting with at least 12 years in a management role.
CFA Level 1 or more or ACCA preferred.
Experience with venture capital private credit banking or related roles a plus.
Relevant work experience with US startup or SMB customer accounting strongly preferred.
Detailed knowledge of GAAP in the US Canada and Europe.
Experience with working in Quickbooks Excel Google Sheets and other comparable platforms.
Strong project management skills.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Experience with one of the Big 4 accounting firms (Deloitte EY KPMG or PwC) a plus.
Past experience working in Climate Change Sustainability or related fields a plus.
