DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Requires the services of 1 Applications Architect 1 hereafter referred to as Candidate(s) who meets the general qualifications of Applications Architect 1 Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined below

• Application architects are responsible for designing developing and implementing applications for computer systems. They must direct the development process from conception to completion and oversee the efforts of all associated technical staff.
  
• We are looking for an experienced PowerApps Developer to join our Project Management Center of Excellence organization. You will be responsible for scoping designing developing and maintaining applications using the Microsoft PowerApps platform and directly improving business processes by creating effective efficient accessible and userfriendly solutions. The following are the core responsibilities of this position.
  

Core responsibilities:

• Development: Design develop and test a working set of solutions.
  
• Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation and user guides.
  
• Collaboration: Work with crossfunctional teams to integrate solutions.
  
• Education: Transfer knowledge to staff to longterm maintenance of the solutions.
  
  

Expected Solutions

• Solution 1: Document Management System A workflow management solution that can route documents (such as project change requests) for review and approval based on semirigid workflow steps. Integrate with SharePoint Active Directory Power Automate and PowerBI .
  
• Solution 2: Project Management Automated Templates An application capable of extracting data from a project management system of record to fill in project management document templates in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and more and allow project managers to directly download those prefilled templates for use.
  
• Solution 3: Project Management Dashboard An application that can produce a single pane of glass for IT (Information Technology) portfolios. This application blends unique insights from a portfolio of projects including but not limited to portfolio objectives total portfolio capacity in terms of available resources portfolio risks portfolio issues portfolio progress reports (portfolio reporting) and more.
  
• Solution 4: IT Intake Workflow Replace email receipt and processing of intakes with an automated solution to classify and route new proposals to governance to review before uploading to PPM (Project & Portfolio Management) system.
  
• Iterative Tasks and Expectations
  
• Planning: Work with team members and stakeholders to identify gaps and clear requirements in current business processes. Collaborate with business analysts systems analysts and IT management to decompose agency processes and objectives and key results (OKRs) into highlevel solution requirements.
  
• Scoping: Identify clear highlevel requirements for the effort to develop a detailed scope statement with measurable objectives and key results (OKR). Elicit functional and technical business requirements for the solution.
  
• Design & Develop: Further elaborate upon elicited solution requirements by translating requirements into working and unit tested code presented at the end of each iteration. Build applications using PowerApps ; integrate with Power Automate PowerBI Active Directory SharePoint and other tools as needed.
  
• Testing: Create and execute test plans; troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
  
• Deployment: Deploy and maintain applications across environments.
  
• Continuously Improve: Continue to maintain and improve upon existing solutions by managing a backlog of defects missed requirements to address in future releases.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in computer science IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
  
• Experience: At least 3 5 years of Software Development with 2 years in PowerApps development including the scoping design development testing and maintenance performed on one or more PowerApps applications.
  
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in PowerApps Power Automate Microsoft 365 SharePoint; knowledge of JavaScript HTML CSS; familiarity with Azure.
  
• Soft Skills: Goal setting initiative adaptability creativity criticalthinking problemsolving communication patience exceptional verbal and written communication and teamwork.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years Microsoft PowerApps experience (certification preferred)
  
• 6 years experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  
• 5 years experience integrating Microsoft products
  
• 5 years experience with REST/SOAP APIs (Preferred)
  
• 5 years experience with SQL or PL/SQL (Preferred)
  

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Build custom applications using PowerApps that integrate Power Automate capabilities with SharePoint.
  
• Work with various stakeholders to obtain requirements make recommendations and coordinate timelines for implementation of applications.
  
• Meet biweekly deadlines for delivering working software.
  
• Create and execute test plans.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
  
• Maintain documentation and user guides.
  
• Apply relational database concepts to optimize data storage and retrieval processes.
  
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
  
• Key Qualities Sought
  
• Proficient in MS Products; Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint SharePoint PowerApps to include Power Automate and Power BI
  
• 8 or more years of experience relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals independently performs a variety of complicated tasks a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  
• Must have experience with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
  
• Experience with managing the needs of multiple stakeholders. (preferred)
  
• Knowledge and experience with the D.M.A.I.C. methodology (preferred)
  
• Experience with ITIL Project Management
  
• Microsoft PL certification a plus
  
• Experience in Application UI/UX
  
• Familiarity with APIs and Data Querying
  
• Must have experience using Power BI for data visualization.

Position will be remote. Program will allow candidates who are within the state (Any location within the State of Texas).
