Job Description

Perform Recruitment is seeking a motivated and ambitious Trainee Manager to join a leading retail company in Cobh. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to launch their management career in the retail sector. As a Trainee Manager you will undergo comprehensive training to develop the skills needed to manage store operations lead a team and deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership Development: Assist in managing and leading a team of retail staff learning how to motivate coach and develop team members to achieve their best.
  • Operational Excellence: Support the daytoday operations of the store ensuring that all activities are aligned with company standards and goals.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs resolving issues and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Sales Performance: Learn to analyze sales figures identify trends and implement strategies to drive sales and meet targets.
  • Stock Management: Assist in managing inventory levels stock control and ensuring that the store is wellstocked and visually appealing.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed maintaining a safe environment for both staff and customers.
  • Financial Management: Gain insight into budgeting cash handling and other financial responsibilities associated with managing a retail store.
  • Training & Development: Participate in training programs designed to enhance your managerial skills and prepare you for future leadership roles within the company.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: A degree in Business Retail Management or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a retail environment is advantageous but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication leadership potential customer service orientation and an ability to work well under pressure.
  • Attributes: A proactive attitude willingness to learn and a passion for retail.
