Controller

Onsite Fulltime no hybrid work from home option offered for this position.

About the job

W.O. Stinson & Son Ltd. is seeking a CPA with a minimum of 10 years of postqualification experience. This position will be of particular interest to the right person looking to join an organization for a longterm relationship with an established company. The key characteristics of this position are:

Responsibilities:

Oversee the companys daily accounting functions including preparing and presenting monthly financial statements and reports to senior management and owners.

Assist senior management and department heads with daytoday functions and ensure smooth running of the company.

Manage and direct all financial and accounting processes.

Review evaluate and ensure the integrity of all financial transactions.

Work closely with the accounting team to streamline and improve processes.

Review assess and implement best practices and internal controls.

Work with and assist other departments in meeting company goals.

Liaise with various government departments to ensure adherence to government requirements.

Prepare annual working papers and reports and communicate with external accountants.

Ensure all regulatory filings and payments are done on a timely basis.

Qualifications:

CPA designation with a minimum of 10 years postqualification experience.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to lead others and provide guidance.

Keen analytical skills to analyze financial data to make sound financial decisions.

Proven track record of streamlining processes and improving efficiencies.

Strong IT skills.

Proficient in both official languages.

Advanced knowledge of MS Office products (particularly Excel).

Experience in the fuel industry will be considered an asset.
