The Logistics Assistant will support the logistics team in coordinating and managing the flow of goods from suppliers to customers. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills a strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of logistics activities including transportation warehousing and inventory management.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments delivery schedules and inventory levels.
- Communicate with suppliers transport companies and customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading and invoices and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to manage inventory effectively.
- Support the logistics team with data entry filing and other administrative tasks.
- Assist in resolving any issues related to deliveries such as delays or discrepancies.
- Ensure that all logistics processes adhere to company policies and safety standards.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a Logistics Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel and familiarity with logistics software (e.g. SAP Oracle).
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- High attention to detail and problemsolving abilities.
- Knowledge of logistics procedures and regulations is an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification; a degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field is a plus.
