PTC Group is recruiting for a leading ecommerce platform that connects thousands of sellers to millions of consumers. Our platform includes integrated logistics and digital payment services creating a seamless marketplace experience.

Responsibilities:

Vision and Strategy:

• Set and execute the vision and strategy for the data science team across multiple verticals.
• Ensure alignment with the companys overall objectives and goals in partnership with business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a grouplevel roadmap for data science initiatives ensuring scalability and sustainability of data solutions.

Collaboration & Business Alignment:

• Collaborate with senior leadership and crossfunctional teams to identify and prioritize data science projects that drive significant business value.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of data science solutions into business processes.

Leadership and Development:

• Lead mentor and develop a team of data scientists ensuring their growth performance and professional development.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the data science team.

Technical Excellence:

• Drive indepth data analysis on various strategic topics including customer behavior search optimization catalog management finance and commercial activities.
• Oversee the development and implementation of advanced data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and availability for analysis.
• Conduct POCs and oversee the development deployment and monitoring of predictive models to enhance business operations.

Data Governance and Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to data governance security and privacy compliance across all datarelated activities aligning with organizational standards.

Innovation and Industry Trends:

• Stay at the forefront of industry trends and technologies continuously improving the data science practice within the company.
• Encourage a think big / act fast mindset within the team promoting innovative and pragmatic solutions to complex business problems.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Proven track record in setting and executing data science strategies from POC to productionready algorithms.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
• Advanced analytical skills with a passion for leveraging data to drive strategic decisions with expertise in statistics and advanced data analysis techniques.
• Good understanding of big data tools and frameworks like Hadoop Spark or similar. Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies is a plus.
• Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and their applications including NLP and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow PyTorch).
• High standard of communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Strong project management skills with a strategic mindset.

Very Nice to Have:

• Experience with LLM & Transformers.
• Previous experience in ecommerce or related industries.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices.
