Job Description

Overview


The EHS Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of employees compliance with regulations and the sustainability of the environment within the organization. They are responsible for developing implementing and managing environmental health and safety programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain health safety and environmental management systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health safety and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate safety training programs for employees and management teams.
  • Manage emergency response protocols and conduct regular drills.
  • Investigate and report incidents injuries and near misses and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain safety policies procedures and guidelines.
  • Lead safety and environmental audits inspections and assessments.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to achieve environmental sustainability goals.
  • Develop and manage waste and environmental management programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to management on health safety and environmental matters.
  • Develop and manage the EHS budget and allocate resources effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes.
  • Lead and mentor EHS staff.

Required qualifications


  • Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Management or related field.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and requirements.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing EHS programs and initiatives.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing risk management strategies.
  • Excellent knowledge of emergency response planning and implementation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and principles.
  • Proficiency in EHS management software and tools.
  • Experience in leading and developing EHS teams.
