The Senior Cloud Engineer (SCE) role is responsible for the design administration maintenance and support of enterprise infrastructure for a dynamic growing business. The environment spans private and public clouds networks firewalls servers operating systems applications mobile devices process schedulers telecommunications and general databases. The SCE will interface closely with development teams client service teams and business leaders to integrate support operate and provide infrastructure related to the Platform Architecture. Working within a team environment the SCE participates directly in solution creation providing handson support as well as operational support and training. This individual must be creative clientfocused solutionsdriven organized and have the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Provide direct support and improve the daytoday operations of hardware and operating systems including Cloud Services.

Evaluate system utilization monitor response times and provide primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.

Coordinate and perform additions and changes to servers networks operating systems and attached devices including investigation analysis recommendation configuration installation and testing of new network hardware and software.

Ensure servers operating systems and network components are implemented and adhere to information security policies and infrastructure standards.

Utilize metrics and cloudnative consumptionbased services to improve cost efficiencies.

Implement and configure Cloudnative services in CI/CD pipelines using IAC tools.

Implement and configure Istio Service Mesh and Helm Chart Deployments.

Implement and configure firewalls and security appliances.

Implement and configure the Disaster Recovery and Business Resumption Plan as it relates to the backup and restoration of the technology infrastructure.

Ensure run books are updated regularly.

Maintain the VMware and Cloud virtual environments.

Maintain the Microsoft Active Directory Domain.

Mentor fellow Cloud Admins and Engineers.

Manage monitor troubleshoot and support existing projects and processes; collaborate with various crossfunctional teams to determine and define software requirements and propose software solutions.

Provide technical subject matter expertise and work with a wider team to ensure development activities are aligned with the scope schedule priority and business objectives.

Maintain and upgrade deployment platforms and system infrastructure with InfrastructureasCode using Terraform or ARM templates or PowerShell or similar.

Troubleshoot AKS clusterbased issues and deployment through the ADO pipeline.

Provide infrastructure problem resolution for various applications throughout the organization.

Provide general SQL Server database troubleshooting and support.

Utilize programming skills to design and develop programs or scripts for various repetitive functions.

Support inbound calls/emails maintaining tickets within the issue tracking application related to Infrastructure Support.

Crosstrain other team members to facilitate coverage.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Certifications preferred: AZ900 AZ104 AZ700 AZ500 (or equivalent).

57 years of applicable experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience with:

Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure ADO while collaborating across teams to improve build integration & release processes.

Assisting in root cause analysis efforts and improvements to system reliability using techniques like selfhealing canary deployments and alerting.

Building and deploying container workloads using Docker and Terraform.

Expertise in Kubernetes AKS Azure ADO and Terraform.

Implementing and configuring resilient highly available IT systems.

Windows and/or Linux Operating systems that include building security and deployment in both physical and Cloud environments.

Microsoft Azure PaaS and SaaS solution development technologies including Azure API Management Azure Functions Logic Apps etc.

JSON REST and databased APIs and highscale performance services.

Azure Service Bus and Azure Notifications Hub.

Logging and monitoring tools of native Azure.

Building DR and HA solutions.

Creating clear & concise documentation of Cloud and onpremise data center infrastructure development and standards.

Networking knowledge and the skill sets to configure maintain and support Cisco Meraki devices Azure VNETS VPN Gateways Route Servers Route Tables and Private Endpoints.

Implementing and configuring Infrastructure as Code utilizing CI/CD Pipelines.

Applying rule sets in Information Security best practices and the ability to apply information security methodology to operating systems networks and databases.

Scripting languages such as Powershell Bash JS Python etc.

Experience with Cloud Services Azure (preferred) Google or AWS.

Experience with BDR solutions such as Veeam VMware Site Recovery and Azure Backup/Site Recovery.

Implementing Microsoft 365 Services (Exchange Intune Sharepoint and Teams).

Ability to implement and configure Kubernetes deployments utilizing custom resources.

Experience with general SQL Server database troubleshooting.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical skills followup capability and problemsolving ability.

Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment.

Ability to use strong interpersonal and presentation skills to share ideas solutions and strong working relationships with business units including nontechnical users technical leads and developers.

Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and firewalls.

Knowledge of Virtual Machines and Container concepts.

Knowledge of Security as it relates to Cloud Environments including the Shared Security Model.

Experience working with a ticketing system and internal clients.

Ability to respond to emails and text messages after hours to resolve critical issues.

Must possess strong skills in personal diplomacy and client service while consistently demonstrating a high level of motivation commitment to teamwork professionalism and trustworthiness.
