Distributed Antenna System Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and skilled DAS Engineer to join a dynamic team in New York. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing implementing and troubleshooting wireless communication systems particularly in the context of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). This role requires proficiency in DAS provisioning and a strong technical background in systems operating in 800 MHz 400 MHz and cellular bands.

Key Responsibilities:

Design plan and implement DAS solutions to improve wireless coverage and capacity.

Conduct site surveys and RF propagation analysis to determine optimal antenna placement and system configuration.

Collaborate with clients project managers and other engineers to develop project specifications and timelines.

Perform system testing troubleshooting and optimization to ensure maximum performance and reliability.

Prepare detailed documentation including design drawings project reports and technical specifications.

Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations as well as safety standards.

Provide technical support during installation and commissioning of DAS systems.

Stay current with industry trends technologies and best practices related to DAS and wireless communications.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Telecommunications or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design implementation and troubleshooting of wireless communication systems.

Proven proficiency in DAS provisioning and design.

Experience working with systems operating in 800 MHz 400 MHz and cellular bands.

Strong knowledge of RF principles propagation modeling and wireless communication technologies.

Experience with DAS equipment from manufacturers such as CommScope Corning or TE Connectivity.

Proficiency in RF design software tools (e.g. iBwave RFSim99 Pathloss).

Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.

Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation.

Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working on public safety DAS projects.

Familiarity with federal regulations and standards related to wireless communications.

Project management experience is a plus.
