Job Description

This is a remote position.

Job Overview:
The Mortgage Broker Assistant/Loan Processor plays a critical role in the loan origination process by ensuring that loan applications are complete accurate and compliant with regulatory standards. This position involves reviewing applications verifying documentation managing data entry analyzing living expenses communicating with clients liaising with lenders and maintaining compliance throughout the processing pipeline.

Job Description:
Loan Application Review:
  • Review incoming loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation has been provided such as identification income verification etc..
Document Verification:
  • Verify the accuracy of borrowerprovided documents.
  • Crosscheck information on applications with supporting documents.
Data Entry:
  • Validate applicant entered information into the CRM.
  • Update the system with new information or corrections as needed.
Living Expense Analysis:
  • Identify key fixed expenses ongoing and undisclosed liabilities from bank credit card and loan statements.
Communication with Clients:
  • Communicate with clients to gather missing documentation or clarify details via File
Invite Liaising with Lenders:
  • Coordinate with banks and financial institutions to ensure timely processing of loans. Follow up with lenders on the status of loan approvals documents verification and settlement
Compliance Checks:
  • Ensure all loan files comply with minimum documents standards and audit checklist.
  • Perform checks to ensure all documentation is in order before submission to the lender.
Pipeline Management:
  • Manage and track the pipeline of loan applications. Prioritize tasks to ensure timely processing of all loan files.
File Preparation and Submission:
  • Push loan application from CRM to AOL and complete AOL from broker to attach documents and submit to lender.
Customer Service:
  • Approval & post settlement templated email communications such as Approved Settled What next Leave us a Google review.
Compliance/Audit:
  • Post settlement compliance checks to meet audit requirements.
Back Book Management:
  • Biannual/annual reviews including lender pricing requests



Requirements

2years of relevant experience
Attention to Detail:
  • Ability to meticulously review documents and data to ensure accuracy.
  • Catch errors or inconsistencies in loan applications and supporting documents.
Organisational Skills:
  • Strong ability to manage multiple files and tasks simultaneously.
  • Keep track of deadlines and ensure all documents are filed and processed in a timely manner.
Communication Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication to interact effectively with clients and lenders.
ProblemSolving Skills:
  • Ability to identify potential issues in loan applications and find solutions.
  • Handle unexpected challenges or delays in the loan process.
Analytical Skills:
  • Ability to assess financial documents and credit reports to determine eligibility.
Customer Service Orientation:
  • Strong focus on providing excellent service to clients.
Time Management:
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively to ensure timely processing of all loan files.
  • Manage a high volume of work without compromising quality.
Technical Proficiency:
  • Familiarity with loan processing software and mortgage industry tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook).
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software quickly.
Knowledge of Mortgage Industry:
  • Understanding of the mortgage lending process
Critical Thinking:
  • Ability to make sound judgments based on the information provided.
  • Assess risk factors and escalate issues when necessary.
