Job Description

Industrial Sales Representative

We are seeking a motivated Sales Representative to provide industrial hardware directly to customers within a defined geographic territory. This role involves coldcalling prospecting and building relationships with businesses. The candidate must reside within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new sales prospects through research referrals and visits to businesses near existing customers.
  • Conduct facetoface sales calls with both cold and warm leads.
  • Provide customer service in accordance with company training and standards.
  • Submit accurate daily business reports detailing sales orders and prospect calls.
  • Present products and services to customers using sample boards product demos and the mobile store.
  • Ensure the mobile store is clean welloperated and effectively marketed.
  • Maintain uptodate customer contact information using company software including customer notes names phone numbers email addresses and physical addresses.
  • Provide and maintain an approved fully insured vehicle (mobile store) covering insurance fuel and maintenance costs along with the necessary mobile devices (tablet iPad phone) for territory management.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance jobrelated skills.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Outside industrial sales experience preferred especially in route or industrial sales. Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical reasoning and organizational skills.
    • Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in using databases spreadsheets email and common business applications.
    • Knowledge of the products we sell is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to purchase or lease an approved vehicle (mobile store).
  • Must reside within the assigned territory.
  • Aboveaverage mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Ability to kneel and bend regularly as part of the job.
  • Clean driving history.
  • Professional demeanor when representing the company including driving the approved vehicle wearing company attire and attending company functions.
