Civil Litigation ociate Attorney

Location: Pasadena CA

Work setup: Flexible working arrangement

Responsibilities:

• Draft/review/respond to discovery documents and motions
• Attend take and defend depositions (both fact and expert witnesses)
• Attend conferences with expert witnesses and summarize those meetings
• Review and summarize various records including medical records HR records and documents produced in discovery
• Perform legal/medical research
• Attend court hearings and argue motions as necessary
• Assist in trial preparation including the drafting of trial documents motions in limine and other required tasks
• Perform all tasks involved in a civil litigation case from inception to trial including discovery law & motion expert discovery and trial preparation
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an ABAaccredited law school
• California Bar member in good standing
• At least 3 years of attorney experience
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Selfmotivated and able to work independently with team support
• Skilled in managing and prioritizing complex cases
• Effective team player
• Required experience in civil litigation (plaintiff or defense)
• Preferred interest in medical malpractice and civil defense litigation; prior experience in these areas is a plus
