Job Description

Job Title: IBDP Economics and IGCSE Economics & Business Studies Teacher

Start: Immediate
Location: Bucharest Romania
Employment Type: FullTime 2Year Contract (Renewable)

Job Overview: The school is seeking a dedicated and qualified educator to join their team as an IBDP Economics and IGCSE Economics & Business Studies Teacher. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that aligns with the schools educational philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in IBDP Economics and IGCSE Economics & Business Studies.
  • Develop plan and implement the curriculum in accordance with the standards and requirements of the IBDP and IGCSE programs.
  • Assess students progress through assignments exams and other assessment tools providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking problemsolving and active participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students progress and needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelors degree in Economics Business Studies or a related field (a Masters degree is preferred).
  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE QTS or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in IBDP Economics and/or IGCSE Economics & Business Studies.
  • Demonstrated success in raising student achievement and fostering a love of learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching and learning.
  • EU citizenship is required.
