Tasks

As an Art Lead at Magic Do As You Will you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual direction and quality of our games. Reporting to the Game Producer and Game Director you will lead a talented team of artists ensuring that our games meet the highest aesthetic and technical standards. Your mission will be to work handson across all visual deliverablesincluding art assets UI VFX and animationwhile also managing and mentoring the art team. You will collaborate closely with Design Engineering and Production to create visually stunning and immersive gaming experiences that enhance the overall gameplay.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate handson with the Game Director and Game Producer to support and evolve the creative direction for our games.
• Define and drive the artistic vision across all products actively contributing to the creation of new games prototypes and indepth designs for titles slated for scaleup.
• Lead and personally contribute to the creation and delivery of all art assets including 2D and 3D visuals VFX UI/UX Animation and more.
• Maintain a consistent visual style ensuring all assets are cohesive and meet our highquality standards.
• Work closely with game design and engineering teams to understand and communicate gameplay mechanics through visuals.
• Anticipate project challenges propose solutions and set highlevel goals for your team.
• Optimize art content for performance across various platforms while balancing visual quality.
• Mentor manage and work alongside the Art team sharing best practices and contributing directly to art deliverables.
• Stay current with the latest trends and techniques in game art and visual effects applying this knowledge to improve our offerings.

Requirements

• A gamemaker mentality with a holistic view of how art supports game design and impacts the player experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Art Lead with a proven track record of shipping new IPs from concept to launch.
• Handson expertise in creating and delivering art assets UI VFX and animation across all visual aspects of game development.
• The ability to conceptualize articulate and realize an artistic vision that enhances the gaming experience and has broad appeal.
• Extensive experience with industrystandard art tools and software to meet all visual needs.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team of artists and designers fostering a collaborative and highperformance environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey artistic concepts and provide clear feedback.
• Strong problemsolving skills balancing creative vision with technical constraints and deadlines to deliver highquality assets.
• Flexibility and adaptability in responding to change and managing uncertainty.
• A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn staying uptodate with the latest trends in game art and visual effects.
