Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Location: Norwich NY 13815 (Chenango County)

Hourly Rate: $100 $110 per hour
Position Type: PartTime (8 hours per week every Monday)

Job Description:

Corporate Hiring Solutions Inc. is seeking a qualified and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide onsite psychiatric care and consultative services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The selected candidate will work every Monday for 8 hours excluding NYSrecognized holidays at our clients Article 16 Clinic located in Norwich NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations assessments and treatment recommendations for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Offer crisis intervention and manage psychotropic medications including monitoring their effects.
  • Collaborate with medical personnel and the interdisciplinary team to develop and manage treatment plans.
  • Document all clinically relevant information and enter it into the Electronic Health Record System (EHR) within the required timeframes.
  • Participate in case management meetings and provide inservice programs to increase staff knowledge.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including HIPAA and OPWDD policies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Certification by the New York State Education Department in the specialty of Psychiatry.
  • Experience in providing psychiatric care for both adults and children with a minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Enrollment as a Medicaid/Medicare provider.
  • Proof of current malpractice insurance and compliance with all preemployment background checks.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
