Housekeeper

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a formal residence located in Oakville with weekly coverage of a Toronto residence. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence. Rooms to be cleaned alternate each day. This position is fulltime liveout. Monday Friday 9am 5pm with some flexibility required to work the occasional evening or weekend with notice.

Candidate Profile:

You are an experienced and knowledgeable housekeeping professional with excellent housekeeping and laundry skills who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You know how to handle and care for highend finishes furnishings and lighting. You communicate well and are comfortable working independently and within a team. You understand a home is a living environment not just a workplace and can easily adjust your daily schedule to accommodate activities in the residence.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Daily housekeeping to include making beds dusting vacuuming kitchen and bathroom cleaning washing floors
  
• Care of fine furnishings fixtures fabrics finishes and surfaces
  
• Inventory management of the residence including cleaning products and toiletries in conjunction with the House Manager
  
• Regular laundry and ironing
  
• Trash and recycling management
  
• Basic meal preparation and cooking
  
• Weekly clean of the pool house and patio furniture during the summer months
  
• Wardrobe management packing and unpacking
  
• Ensure household security protocols are followed
  
• Answering the door receive packages
  
• Sort and dispose of recycling compost and garbage correctly
  

Applicant Qualities:

• Excellent English communication skills and professional personal presentation
  
• Detail oriented
  
• Must be comfortable lifting 30 pounds
  
• Full Ontario driver s license is an asset
  
• Excellent housekeeping laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces
  
• Must maintain privacy and confidentiality always exercising diplomacy discretion and respecting appropriate boundaries
  
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
