Operations Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Operations in Mumbai to lead our Inventory and Order Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for initiating and managing the procurement order processes ensuring smooth operations from vendor communication to direct shipment to clients and/or Roambee warehouess and inventory management. This role demands a strategic thinker who can drive procurement strategies and handle global requirements particularly in the GPS devices segment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Order Management & Procurement:
   
• Initiate PO process including requesting Proforma Invoices and creating POs in NetSuite.
  
• Ensure internal release of POs and communicate details with vendors.
  
• Manage payment term requirements and follow up with vendors until shipment readiness.
  
• Nominate Freight forwarders based on a tendering process.
  
2. Shipment & Inventory Control:
   
• Oversee preshipment and postshipment processes ensuring proper management with vendors and forwarders.
  
• Create and manage purchase order in the NetSuite ERP
  
• Handle document process for bulk and customer Shipments to various parts of the world.
  
• Track shipments to customers and take ownership until delivery
  
• Accountable to retain revenue by ensuring zero OOS situations for clients
  
3. Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management:
   
• Drive procurement strategies to achieve cost delivery and quality objectives.
  
• Evaluate and select suppliers develop existing suppliers and manage supplier contracts.
  
• Implement cost reduction strategies and monitor industry trends.
  
4. Team Management & Operational Excellence:
   
• Lead and develop a team fostering a collaborative environment.
  
• Utilize advanced procurement and inventory management approach.
  
• Ensure compliance with import and export processes and cost optimization.
  
5. Process Improvement & Compliance:
   
• Streamline existing processes and refine as needed for purchasing and inventory management.
  
• Maintain knowledge of market trends to direct purchasing strategies.
  
• Ensure adherence to company policies and maintain asset registers.
  
6. Data Analysis & Inventory Management:
   
• Oversee physical inventory counts at all Roambee locations ODMs and local clearing agents implement controls for inventory management.
  
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and data analysis for effective inventory management.
  
7. Review and maintain device compliance for
   
• DG NIST and other certification that need renewals
  
• Research and advise certifications required for countries telecom authorities other industrial governing bodies
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 15 experience in supply chain performing various functions from inventory planning order planning fulfillment logistics contract management import and exports processes and systems.
  
• Proven experience in a similar role handling global requirements especially in electronics and hardware categories.
  
• Strong knowledge and experience in the entire procurement cycle.
  
• Expertise in NetSuite or similar system inventory management and import/export processes.
  
• Excellent negotiation leadership and team management skills.
  
• Ability to develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies.
  
• Bachelor s degree in Operations engineerig Supply Chain Management or a related field.
