Seeking an experienced House Manager for a formal residence in Toronto. The successful applicant will be experienced with overseeing the operations of multiple properties on behalf of a private family. This position is fulltime liveout. A typical work week is Monday to Friday 9am 5pm. Flexibility outside of this schedule is required as needed.
Candidate Profile:
You are an experienced and wellrounded House Manager who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You have a strong understanding of household management and are comfortable supervising staff contractors and vendors. You have a do what it takes attitude are ready to provide hands on support as needed and have a calm and collected approach when things dont go as planned. You are comfortable both in leadership roles and working with in a team; always a polished ambassador for the family.
Primary Responsibilities:
Managing the households schedules and calendars
Event and travel planning organizing and coordination
Arranging appointments for personal and professional needs
Greeting of guests and visitors answering telephone and taking messages general mail and correspondence
Supervision management and training of household staff
Management of household inventories and implementation of organizational strategies
Ensure all household mechanical systems HVAC plumbing equipment and fixtures are in good working order
Scheduling home maintenance repair renovation work and supervising projects
Responsible for budget preparation monitoring and management commentary in household financial reporting
Reviewing and approving household bills and administrative duties
Assist with the ordering and purchasing of household inventories
Ensure household security protocols are followed
Running errands and performing necessary tasks
Applicant Qualities:
Be a selfstarter with an anticipatory serviceoriented disposition
Must possess excellent time management skills be punctual courteous possess keen attention to detail and follow through on all tasks and projects assigned
Must be detail oriented
Must possess a strong work ethic and understand invisible service
Must be a team player able to motivate and work with staff to ensure a positive outcome
Must have a sense and respect of boundaries exercise diplomacy discretion and confidentiality
A drivers license and clean driving record is required
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
