Cloud Engineering Lead - AWS

Job Description

As a Cloud Engineering Lead you ll play a critical role in designing managing and optimizing cloudbased infrastructure and services. Your responsibilities will span various areas:

1. Design and Development:

• Design and develop cloudbased infrastructure applications and services that align with the organization s requirements.
• Select the appropriate cloud platform (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
• Create architecture diagrams and develop automation scripts.

1. Deployment and Migration:

• Deploy new applications to the cloud.
• Migrate existing applications from onpremises infrastructure to the cloud.
• Ensure seamless migration processes that don t disrupt operations.

1. Monitoring and Optimization:

• Monitor the performance of cloudbased systems.
• Optimize resources for costeffectiveness and high availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise.

1. Vendor Management:

• Collaborate with cloud service providers and vendors.
• Evaluate and manage vendor relationships.

1. Developer Coordination and DevOps Implementation:

• Work closely with developers architects and system administrators.
• Implement DevOps practices ensuring efficient development testing and deployment processes.

1. Data Security and Compliance:

• Ensure data security measures are in place.
• Comply with industry standards and regulations.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines Docker Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 10 years of experience in technical leadership roles within the BFSI sector with a focus on technology strategy architecture and innovation.
• Deep understanding of financial services industry dynamics including banking operations insurance processes regulatory requirements and risk management.
• Proven track record of successfully leading teams and delivering complex technology solutions in a highly regulated environment.
• Strong technical proficiency in cloud computing preferably with AWS along with knowledge of relevant industry standards and frameworks

(e.g. PCI DSS ).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility with Clevel executives and technical stakeholders.
• AWS certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional AWS Certified Security Specialty) are a plus.
